Add Some Merry to Your Marketing

As the holidays approach, many beauty business owners are gearing up for the most opportunistic time of the year for service and retail sales growth. There is no better time to bring a little cheer to your bottom line, here are some ways to put a little merry in their holiday marketing.

CREATE HOLIDAY PACKAGES

Holiday packages are a great way to sell a combination of services that guests may have otherwise never tried. Combine services to create a luxury experience package – with the right price point and “package name/or title” your packages should hit the sweet spot.

Create packages at several price points and get creative. Gift givers can be very generous if the gift is right. Encourage higher sales by combining 3 or 4 services into a “beauty day” specially priced at 25% off for a limited time. Don’t be afraid to offer high-priced service packages such as “A Year of Hair Color” or “A Massage of the Month”.

This season add your own special branded “festive feel” to both your salon digital and IRL salon space.

DECK THE HALLS

Determine a holiday look for your beauty business and deck the halls! Purposeful merchandising should not only add cheer but also showcase your retail and service promotions. Give an overall “ho-ho-ho” to your business in your special branded way.

BE SOCIALLY MERRY

Get people talking about your salon this season. Encourage clients to post pics of their “holiday hair” on Instagram or Facebook. With very little effort, you can bring a sparkle to your social online presence.

Don’t forget to add some holiday flair to your social media platforms. Change the banner on your business page, and create holiday-themed templates for your FB and Instagram posts. Add some sparkle and cheer to every “touch point” for your clients.

HOLIDAY DRAWING

December is a great time to do an annual “Enter to Win” contest. Think of the “right giveaway” that will promote natural enthusiasm, as well as get guest engagement both in-store and online. Put a free product or gift set up for grabs to a winner who will be selected from anyone who follows your page and tags a friend under your giveaway post.
You may even offer a discount on select services for anyone who enters to encourage even more entries and more immediate bookings.

HOLIDAY TEAM PHOTO

Take the time to promote your team. A playful way to connect to your current and future customers, a team photo makes your team approachable. Highlight the most meaningful gift your staff has ever received with the photo post for more interest and engagement.

SEASONAL BEVERAGES & MUGS

Offering a seasonal beverage is something that costs almost nothing, yet makes a huge statement. Give your salon guests cozy drink options, like hot caramel apple cider with a cinnamon stick, hot cocoa with marshmallows, and hot blueberry tea with a sugar-butter cookie.

Another way to make your mark is with holiday mugs – choose mugs that match your salon’s personality and add to an inviting holiday presentation.
